Academic Personnel Review Process and Leaves of Absense Workshops for Assistant Professors

Two dates offered!

Audience: Assistant Professors - Please see Assistant Professor Workshop web page for more information!

Topics to Include:
These workshops are offered to help Assistant Professors understand many of the policies and procedures in academic personnel reviews, as well as eligibility for leaves of absences and the impact of leaves on Assistant Professors. The sessions are informal and faculty will be able to ask questions pertinent to their own cases. Topics include the following: Merit Review, Mid-career Review, Tenure Review, Eight-year limit for Assistant Professors and Leaves of Absence.

Pre-Retirement Planning Program: Are you preparing for your retirement?  Will you have enough income to live the lifestyle you desire?  Do you know what happens when you are eligible for Medicare?  Social Security?  These workshops are targeted to those retiring in the next five years, although everyone is welcome.  You are encouraged to attend all workshops; however, space is limited so please enroll at http://events-manager.ucsc.edu.  All workshops are held in Engineering 2, 4th Floor, Room 499.
