Dear Colleagues:
We have three changes to announce for the 2020-21 academic salary scales:
- College Provosts
Effective July 1, 2020, new and continuing college provosts will be paid a set stipend amount regardless of the size of the college. - Represented Librarians
In accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the University Council – American Federation of Teachers (UC-AFT) and the University of California, the represented Librarian salary scales have been adjusted by a general range adjustment of 3%. The range adjustment is effective on July 1, 2020 for monthly paid employees and July 12, 2020 for bi-weekly paid employees. - Represented Academic Researchers
In accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of American (UAW) and the University of California, the represented Academic Researchers salary scales have been adjusted by a general range adjustment of at least 3%. The range adjustment is effective on July 1, 2020 for monthly paid employees and July 12, 2020 for bi-weekly paid employees.
The represented Project Scientist Series and the represented Specialist Series salary scales underwent some additional adjustments to address compression between steps.
The revised scales are now published in our campus Academic Salary Scales. Please share this information with the appropriate individuals in your unit(s).
