A detailed walk-through of the policies and procedures involved in processing a senate faculty member's advancement review.

This workshop provides all department chairs who steward the senate faculty review process with expert guidance from the perspectives of the VPAA, the Chair of CAP, a dean, and APO, including best practices and strategies to avoid common pitfalls. Offered in spring.

Advancement Overview Workshops for Assistant Professors and Lecturers with Potential for Security of Employment

Tailored to assistant professors and LPSOEs, this informal session helps participants understand many of the policies and procedures in academic personnel reviews, including leaves of absence and impact of leaves on advancement. Offered in spring.

Lecturer with Security of Employment Informational Session

These sessions are intended to introduce current appointees in the LSOE series to the changes in APM policy and how they will be implemented at UCSC. Topics of note include an introduction to the rank and step system, introduction to sabbatical leave eligibility, and a summary of other changes. These are informal sessions, and questions will be welcome.

DivData Review & Biobibnet Open Labs

Faculty and staff can learn tips and tricks and get answers to their questions on using DivData Biobibnet and Review. Open Labs are held primarily in the late spring through early fall, while extensive help documentation is available anytime.
