CALL for Negotiated Salary Trial Program Applications

Dear Colleagues:

Re:  CALL for Negotiated Salary Trial Program Applications

We are now accepting applications for participation in the Negotiated Salary Trial Program (NSTP) for fiscal year 2022-23 (July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023). This is the fifth and final year of Phase 2 of the NSTP.

The NSTP allows eligible senate faculty to contribute external (non-state) funding resources toward their total University of California salary. The NSTP, like the well-established Health Sciences Compensation Plan (HSCP), allows faculty to utilize eligible contract and grant or discretionary fund sources to increase their total compensation by up to 30%.

Interested faculty may review the program guidelines and application instructions online at the Academic Personnel Office website. The deadline for submitting applications for participation during fiscal year 2021-22 is Monday, May 2, 2022.
