Academic Personnel Manual section 666-18(a) statesthat honorarium amounts may be subject to negotiation in each case, but may not exceed an amount stipulated periodically by the Provost and Executive Vice President, Academic Affairs. Interim Provost Lawrence Pitt's September 28, 2009 letter established new limits for honoraria consistent with the current California consumer Price Index.
Effective immediately, your office is authorized to approve honoraria up to the adjusted maximum of $1,500 per event and te grant exceptions up to $3,000 per event. All other provisions of APM 666 remain in effect.
