Re: 2018-19 Represented Librarians Salary Scales Issuance
Dear University Librarian Cowell:
In accordance with the contractual agreement between the University Council – American Federation of Teachers (UC-AFT) and the University of California, the FY 2018-19 salary scales for represented Librarians have been restructured. The restructuring is effective June 1, 2019 for monthly paid employees and June 2, 2019 for bi-weekly paid employees.
Before any merits or promotions are applied, represented Librarians should be moved from their current salary point on the July 2017 salary scales to the same salary point number on the June 2019 salary scales. Any merits or promotions for FY 2018-19 should be applied using the June 2019 salary rates.
Effective July 1, 2019, the represented Librarian salary scales will also be adjusted by 3%.
The campus academic salary scales have been updated and are available online on the Academic Personnel Office web site (Academic Salary Scales). Please bring these revised scales to the attention of appropriate individuals in your units. Questions may be directed to the Academic Personnel Office at apo@ucsc.edu.
