Re: October 2019 Academic Salary Scales Issuance
Dear Colleagues:
As announced in Interim CP/EVC Kletzer’s July 18, 2019 memo, the 2019-20 UC Academic Salary Program is comprised of two phases. Phase 2 includes Senate Faculty, Academic Student Employees (ASE), and Graduate Student Researchers (GSR) salary scales.
Senate Faculty
Ladder-rank and Lecturer with Security of Employment scales receive a three percent general range adjustment plus a one percent special, targeted increase, effective October 1, 2019. This includes titles tied to the ladder-rank faculty salary scales, e.g., Adjunct Professor, Acting Professor, and Astronomer. The exact percent increases may vary due to rounding and smoothing between steps.
ASE
ASE scales receive a three percent general range adjustment with an effective date of October 1, 2019 for monthly paid employees or October 6, 2019 for biweekly paid employees.
GSR
GSR scales receive a three percent general range adjustment with an effective date of October 1, 2019 for monthly paid employees or October 6, 2019 for biweekly paid employees.
The revised October 1, 2019 effective scales are now published in our campus Academic Salary Scales. Please ensure this information reaches the appropriate individuals in your unit(s).
