Dear Colleagues:

Effective September 19, 2016, I hereby delegate to you the authority for all appointment and advancement actions within campus authority for the Specialist and Project Scientist Series.  This includes appointment and advancement to Above Scale, merit to further Above-Scale, and all accelerated actions, as well as full discretion to determine when/whether DCAP review is required.  This authority may not be redelegated.

Appointment and advancement actions at/to a salary rate higher than the Indexed Compensation Level (ICL), which is set by the President annually, remain under the authority of the Provost and Executive Vice President.

The campus Delegation of Authority Chart and the relevant campus academic personnel policies will be updated accordingly.
