Re: Academic Salary Scales 2022-23 - Academic Student Employees, Graduate Student Researchers, Postdoctoral Scholars
Dear Colleagues:
Effective April 1, 2023, the academic salary scales are updated as follows. Employee salaries are moved to the new scales at the beginning of the next pay period, which is April 1, 2023 for monthly paid employees and April 2, 2023 for bi-weekly paid employees.
Academic Student Employees (ASE) – contractual agreement with International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America 2865 (UAW)
The 2022-23 salary scales for salaried ASEs have been adjusted by a general range adjustment of approximately 7.5% and salary scales for hourly ASEs have been increased by $1.50 per hour.
Graduate Student Researchers (GSR) – contractual agreement with UAW 2865
The 2022-23 GSR salary scales have had the three lowest salary points and the top salary point removed and have been adjusted by a general range adjustment of approximately 7.5% with smoothed increments of 7.75% between points.
Postdoctoral Scholars (Postdocs) – contractual agreement with UAW 5810
The postdoc salary scales have been adjusted by a general range adjustment of approximately 7.9% with smoothed increments of 3.7% between levels.
The revised scales are now published in our campus Academic Salary Scales. Please share this information with the appropriate individuals in your unit(s).
